Year in Review 2022

 

In 2022, we celebrated our 13th year of wine, food, and travel experiences in Maine and around the world. These last past three years have undoubtedly been the most challenging of all with the impact of COVID-19 on our small (but mighty) business that's whole existence is centered around bringing great people together around great wine, spirits, and travel.

With the help of our awesome team and business partners, we accomplished so much this year, including our 10th season of wine sails with Captain Megan and her crew, a continuation of experiences born in 2020, such as virtual wine dinners and sommelier-curated wine deliveries, the return of our small-group trips, and the launch of our wonderful wine club in January 2022. ​And we added two new members to our awesome team.

It has been an honor and a labor of love to form long-lasting and genuine friendships with our team, customers, and business partners over the years. We feel very honored to be part of an incredible community and industry that supports one another and inspires us all to do our absolute best. As 2023 arrives, we wanted to thank you for being a part of this journey and allowing us to be part of yours. Cheers to a delicious and bright new year together!

A Look Back at Wine Wise 2022

  • Launched our Community-Driven Sommelier-Curated Wine Club for Greater Portland and Surrounding Communities with 3-bottle and 6-bottle options.

  • Six Virtual Wine Dinners with Chefs Sansonetti of Chaval and Jef Wright of Crown Jewel continued to feed us well through the Fall and Winter months.

  • Six wine dinners and bourbon tastings with the Falmouth Country Club culinary teams + guest chefs were delicious and fun ways for us to see each other in person.

  • Continued our sponsorship of the Portland Food Map Pocket Guide (printed), "A Comprehensive to Portland's Food Scene."

  • The 5th Annual Portland Wine Week, June 13-19, 2022, with the help of generous and community-focused sponsors

  • Our first Semi-Annual Wine Club Soirée took place at Wayside Tavern

  • 100 Wine Sails, Wine & Oyster Sails, and Chef Series Wine & Food Sails

  • Small-Group Trips resumed to Tuscany & Cinque Terre in May + Spain's Madrid, Rioja, and Ribera del Duero in October

  • Increased our offering of sommelier-curated wine deliveries in Explorer, Elevated, and Premium levels

  • Our awesome team grew by two with the addition of CJ and Chris (pictured below)
