Meet Morgan Brockington
Morgan Brockington was born in Portland and raised in beautiful Saco, Maine, just a mile from the beach and 25 minutes south of Portland. After graduating from the University of Maine, she moved to Atlanta, Georgia which initially sparked her passion for food. However, her Maine roots quickly drew her back to Portland, where she could be found checking any new restaurant or bar off her bucket list.
A job opportunity then took her to Boston for three years. However, her friends often joked that she was a “dual citizen” because she so often headed to Portland on the weekends to see her family, friends, and of course, to eat and imbibe her way through Portland, Maine — which would be named Bon Appetit’s Restaurant City of the Year in 2018.
Morgan returned home to Portland in December 2018 and soon after began working for Central Distributors as a swing sales rep, which piqued her interest in wine (her interest in craft beer was piqued long before).
We first met Morgan this past Spring during Portland Wine Week. She was representing Central Distributors in pouring great wines at the Grand Tasting, she attended several seminars throughout the week, and joined our Sparkling Wine Sail with friends. The wine sail photos she captured and shared on her Instagram page caught our eye … many times over. And eventually led to a job offer!
